Matt Newsom is our December Student of the Month. Matt is a third year carpentry student from Elkmont.

His teacher, Dan Williams says, "During his time here he has become a student that I know I can depend on both in the classroom, and the shop. Matt is active in SkillsUSA. He has competed locally every year he has been at the Career Technical Center. His character is beyond question, and I have never had anything but a positive experience with him in my program. Matt is a leader and will follow through on any assignment he is given. I believe that this makes him an outstanding choice for student of the month."

The Student of the Month award is given monthly. It is designed to recognize the most outstanding students attending the Career Technical Center. The honor will be given to students on our campus that best exemplifies the CTC student. This award will take into consideration grades, attendance, attitude and involvement in extra-curricular activities on our campus. We are very proud of all of our students!
