About LCCTC

The Limestone County Career Technical Center is an extension of the local high school. The programs feature a variety of learning styles that help young people make the transition from school to career. Fifteen Career Technical programs are offered as electives to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students in Limestone County Schools and Athens City School. In addition, social studies classes and special education classes are offered on the campus. Students attend for a 2-1/2 hour session, either in the morning or afternoon.

The Limestone County Career Technical Center is located in the southern section of the city of Athens, Alabama. The present enrollment is approximately 900 students. The Limestone County Career Technical Center lays out a plan of study that combines high school and college course work in academics and technical studies in the above specific career areas.
