CREDENTIALING CERTIFICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to build stackable credentials such as OSHA 10 Hour safety cards in Construction and General Industry as they navigate their programs of study. This will make our students more valuable to potential employers. Electrical Technology offers the following certification opportunity:

  • NCCER Core

  • NCCER Electrical Level 1 - Students earning the Level 1 credential  and entering an apprentice program through an Associated Builders and Contractors member begin as 2nd year apprentices

  • OSHA 10-hour safety cards in Construction and General Industry

  • Construction and Skills Test (CAST) credential

Students may receive ARTICULATED credit through Calhoun Community College after completing quality assurance criteria in this Career Technical program:

  • up to 15 semester hours of credit

  • a short-term certificate in Electrical Technology
