Healthcare Students of America

HOSA, our student organization, is an integral component of Health Science. It develops leadership abilities and offers opportunities for community service. Students are encouraged to participate in the state leadership conference and competitive events.

Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to build stackable credentials such as AED, CPR, and First Aid as they navigate their programs of study. This will make our students more valuable to potential employers.  Students will also have an opportunity to obtain articulated credit in Medical Terminology for Calhoun Community College.  Health Science offers the following certification opportunities:  Certified Patient Care Technician.

Students may receive articulated credit through the Alabama State Community College System after completing quality assurance criteria in this Career Technical program.
