In the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration program, students learn to troubleshoot electrical diagrams
to repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and practice skills in maintenance and
operation of supermarket refrigeration equipment. Students also complete projects by soldering, using gauges,
and reading wiring diagrams. Students may have the opportunity to earn an industry credential in NCCER.

It helps to:

  • understand people's individual needs
  • have strength and a love for machines

Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to build stackable credentials as they navigate their programs of study. This will make our students more valuable to potential employers. HVAC offers the following certification opportunity:

  • NCCER Core (all modules)
  • HVAC Level 1
  • HVAC Level 1+
  • EPA Certification

Students may receive ARTICULATED credit through the Alabama State Community College System after completing quality assurance criteria in this Career Technical program.
